Stevens 50th anniversary
John and Dorothy Stevens of Valencia will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Rose Haven Bed and Breakfast in Butler.
Stevens married the former Dorothy Selner on May 7, 1960, at St. Bede's Catholic Church in Montgomery, Ala.
They have five children, Kate Biertempfel of Valencia, Lynn Barber of Butler, Shawna Watts of Valencia, Michael Stevens of Valencia and Johna Jacobs of Valencia.
They also have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Stevens was a regulatory affairs consultant with Fisher Scientific and LabChem before he retired. He now volunteers at the Butler County Humane Society and Butler County Community College, where he teaches computer courses.Mrs. Stevens is retired from LabChem.They attend St. Killian Catholic Church in Mars.
