McKindree 70th anniversary
Harold "Ted" and Georgia McKindree of Cabot celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner.
McKindree married the former Georgia Ringer on March 22, 1940, in Wellsburg, W.Va.
They have two children, Gary McKindree and Georgia Litz, both of Butler. They also have four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Before his retirement in 1983, McKindree owned and operated his own propane gas business, of which Mrs. McKindree was the bookkeeper. He also served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army for two years.
McKindree was a member of the Elks and is a former 32nd degree Mason.
Mrs. McKindree was involved in Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls and the Elks Auxiliary.The McKindrees have lived at Concordia since 2005.The McKindrees enjoy spending time with family, traveling in their recreational vehicle and golf. One memorable vacation was spent in Spain and Portugal.The McKindrees are members at St. Peter's Anglican Church.
