CRANBERRY TWP — Two warehouses are planned to be built in the township, including a new distribution center for the expanding Con Yeager Spice Co.

The 53,360-square-foot facility will serve as the distribution site for the spice manufacturing company, which is based in Jackson Township.

Ron Henshaw, township director of community development, said the warehouse is a consolidation of the company's distribution operations and the spice company's other offices likely would remain open.

Henshaw said the new distribution center is expected to have a small retail area for customers to buy products.

Construction is to begin this summer.

Township supervisors will vote on Con Yeager's development project May 27.

A second warehouse/flex space development, Pennwood Commons II, a 53,476-square-foot building, is expected to be built at 40 Pennwood Place, just off Commonwealth Drive. That is a sister building and mirror image of the neighboring Pennwood Commons I, which is under construction.

No tenants were identified for that project.

That building is expected to be approved at Thursday's supervisors meeting.
