Chrysler is recalling more than 200,000 Jeeps of various models due to potential tire pressure monitoring system failure, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall potentially affects 201,976 Jeeps built between 2024 and 2026. Models impacted include Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. A software error may prevent the vehicle from sensing low tire pressure or illuminating the tire pressure warning light, which makes the vehicles noncompliant with federal requirements.

Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software for free to fix the issue, according to the administration. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning Sept. 29.
