1:10 p.m. Tuesday — Someone stole a brown Coach wallet belonging to Amy Walker of Butler from her vehicle while it was parked along the 400 block of West Cunningham Street. The wallet contained about $150 cash, bank cards and Walker's identification.Sunday — Angela Carlson, 18, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly stole $600 from a West New Castle Street resident.
12:18 a.m. Tuesday — Wendel Callender, 46, of New Castle was charged with DUI after police responded to a report of a man slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle at the Sheetz on New Castle Road.8:39 p.m. Monday — Ryan L. Hewitt, 27, of Cranberry Township was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident involving Hewitt at Butler Memorial Hospital.
9:15 p.m. Monday — A pickup belonging to Randall Griffin of Grove City was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while parked in the 100 block of South Broad Street between 6:30 and 9:15 p.m. Anyone with information may call police at 724-458-7925.
April 21 — James H. Matson, 55, of Butler was charged with illegal possession of firearms after he allegedly surrendered seven guns to police to comply with a protection from abuse order. Matson had been ordered not to own guns due to a prior felony conviction..
6 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Roberta M. McCaslin, 63, of Butler struck a deer along Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. McCaslin and her passenger Trisha McCaslin, 35, of Manheim, Pa., were not injured.6:30 p.m. Monday — Someone broke into Clearwater Homes on Seneca Drive in Evans City. No items were reported missing.12:34 a.m. Saturday — Justin L. Murray, 22, of Reynoldsville, Pa., was charged with DUI following a traffic stop along Route 108 in Slippery Rock.Friday — Kimberly R. Scheller, 25, of West Sunbury was charged with access device fraud, receiving stolen property and theft after she allegedly stole debit and credit cards belonging to Janet A. Scheller of West Sunbury, then used them in several stores throughout Butler County between April 16 and Friday.April 21 — Someone stole aluminum gutters and downspouts belonging to Raymond Burr of Evans City from a yard along Timber Lane in Forward Township April 20 or April 21.
3:25 p.m. Monday — A Jeep driven by Robert J. Burns, 18, of Sligo, a car driven by Diana L. Wensel, 38, of Sligo and a car driven by Kathryn V. Caldwell, 70, of Parker collided at the intersection of Route 68 and McEwen Road in Piney Township. Wensel suffered a moderate injury. Burns was cited for driving at unsafe speed.
Tuesday — Raymond J. Lowe, 56, of Pittsburgh was charged with theft after he allegedly took several riding lawn mowers, radiators from about 15 vehicles as well as other metal items from properties along Pike and Riddle roads in Irwin Township, Venango County, between April 1 and Tuesday
