Dawson 40th anniversary

Perry and Debora Dawson

Perry and Debora Dawson of Butler will celebrate 40 years of marriage.

Dawson married the former Debora Cosentino on April 24, 1970, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.

They have two children, Jeremy Dawson of Sarver and Stephanie Karwoski of West Sunbury.

They also have two grandchildren.

Dawson, a retired business education teacher, taught for 35 years at Knoch High School. He is a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus (St. Fidelis Assembly.) He is also a volunteer computer teacher at His Kids Christian School in Butler.

Mrs. Dawson worked for Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV in Grove City for 36 years. She began her work as an LD/EMR teacher and then worked as an itinerant teacher with the Act 89 Resource Program. She retired as a special education supervisor in 2006. Mrs. Dawson currently coordinates the Academic Games (ALGOA) program for MIU IV and works as a part-time principal at His Kids Christian School in Butler.

The Dawsons are members of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and are active in church ministries. Mr. Dawson is a lector and extraordinary minister of holy communion. Mrs. Dawson is a member of Pastoral Council and the handbell choir.
