Morgan Robinson struck out 17 batters and also doubled and homered to power the Slippery Rock softball team to a 5-4, eight-inning triumph over Clarion Saturday.

The Rockets plated two runs in the top of the eighth inning while the host Bobcats rallied for one, but came up short.

Clarion's T. Smathers also pitched a strong game, fanning 12 while walking just one batter.
