Curran

Lillian B. Curran, 86, of Kaylor, Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, died Monday at ACMH Hospital, East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.

Born March 22, 1923, in Kaylor, she was the daughter of Andrew F. and Bertha (Murray) Lehner.

She was the wife of the late John H. Curran, who she married Aug. 26, 1946, in the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend.

Mrs. Curran, a 1941 East Brady High School graduate, was a graduate of The Butler Business College.

She loved her family and music, was an avid sports fan and played bingo.

She had worked at Penn Champ and at the Rimersburg Coal companies as a secretary for several years. She then was a homemaker for her husband and family.

She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, and was a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 488, Bradys Bend.

Surviving are a son, John H. Curran II of Bradys Bend; two daughters, Linda Ann Dillaman and her husband, Harry, of West Sunbury and Barbara Jo Gallagher of Chicora; four grandchildren, Jessica Jo Summerville and her husband, Dean, of West Sunbury, Melinda Ann Gallagher of Penn Hills, Arianne Jolene Gallagher of Chicora and Dakota Michael Curran of Sarah Furnace, Clarion County; a stepgrandson, Gregory Dillaman and his wife, Lisa, of Slippery Rock; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Summerville and Rachel Summerville; and two step-great-grandchildren, Erin Dillaman and Amber Dillaman. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Lee Ann Lehner of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Leo Curran and his wife, Kathryn, of Knox; 26 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John H. Curran, who died Feb. 11, 2004; four sisters, Eileen Lehner, Dorothy (Charles) Burns, Audrey (Norton) Smith and Rose Marie (Dick) McCanna; a brother, Andrew F. Lehner; and a grandson, Sean Michael Gallagher.

Lillian was the last surviving member of her family.

<B>CURRAN</B> — Friends of Lillian B. Curran, who died Monday, March 15, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, with Father Ron Cyktor, pastor, officiating.
