BETHLEHEM — Vice President Joe Biden has visited a Pennsylvania technology center that's breaking ground on an expansion partly funded by federal stimulus money.

The groundbreaking at Ben Franklin TechVentures took place Thursday morning in Bethlehem. The $17 million project received a $6 million grant under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act in September.

Ben Franklin TechVentures is a technology business incubator on the campus of Lehigh University.

Biden lauded the project as helping to create high-tech jobs for the 21st century. He says stimulus money has funded many such incubators around the country.

Ben Franklin says the grant will help fund a 47,000-square-foot expansion and create 200 tech jobs.
