Russell R. Hilliard

Russell R. Hilliard, 80 of Butler died Friday morning at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Feb. 5, 1930, in Butler, he was a son of the late William and Bertha (Stevens) Hilliard.

He had worked in the labor department for the Armco Steel Plant in Butler for 32 years, retiring in May 1980.

He was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, enjoyed traveling, music and mostly loved to spend time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Lucille (Kalina) Hilliard, who he married Sept. 14, 1948; one son, David Hilliard and his wife, Darlene, of Rochester, Pa.; one daughter, Marian Frank and her husband, Gary, of Slippery Rock; three grandchildren, Lori Lynn Beachem, and her husband, Travis, Thomas M. Hilliard, and Emily Hilliard; two great-grandchildren, Brock and Trent Beachem; two brothers and their wives, Robert and Joyce Hilliard of Ohio and Richard and Margaret Hilliard of Butler; and one sister and her husband, Shirley and Dale Ealy of Butler.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, five brothers and two sisters.

<B>Hilliard</B> — There will be no visitation for Russel R. Hilliard, who died Friday, March 12, 2010.Private services will be held for his family. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Butler. Arrangements are handled by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
