Sophomore Cody Bachman scored seven goals and added four assists as the Butler boys lacrosse team routed Canon McMillan 17-0 Saturday.

Nathan Barthlow added three goals and six assists and Kyle Valecko pitched in two goals for the Golden Tornado.

Alex Hill recorded the shutout in goal for Butler (5-0).

Bre Northcott won the discus with a throw of 109 feet, 8 inches and also placed second in the javelin (111-9) and third in the shot put (30-10½) to help the Slippery Rock High girls track and field team to a second-place finish at the Center Invitational Saturday.Northcott was named the field MVP at the invite.Haley Sefton cleared 9 feet to win the pole vault and the team of Casey Dudek, Jess Bennett, Danielle Wissinger and Alyssa Waryanka placed second in the 3,200-meter relay with a time of 10 minutes, 29.3 seconds for the Rockets.Jess Vitous placed third in the 100 hurdles (16.92 seconds) for Slippery Rock.On the boys side, Slippery Rock got second-place finishes from Ryan Thompson on the 1,600-meter run (4:36) and Nick Steele in the pole vault (12-6).
