Jack S. Dill, 48, of Freedom died Monday at his home.

Born June 2, 1961, in Meadville, he was son of the late Charles and Shirley (Wygant) Dill.

He was a 1979 Meadville High School graduate and a graduate of Harrisburg Community College School of Auctioneering.

Jack had a lifelong love collecting antiques, even digging in dumps for old bottles when he was 10 years old. For the past 17 years, Jack was the president of J.S. Dill Auctions Inc. in Zelienople.

He had a passion for life, adventure, family and his Great Danes, Zander and Lola.

He is survived by his partner, Bob Hanks of Freedom; two sisters, Pamela Fickes and her husband, Jack, of Pittsburgh and Bonnie Young and her husband, Walter, of Meadville; four nephews, Todd Young and Justin Young, both of Meadville, Brian Fickes and his wife, Lisa, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Marc Fickes and his wife, Elizabeth, of Pittsburgh; and one great-nephew, Nathan Fickes of Pittsburgh.

<B>DILL </B>— Friends of Jack S. Dill, who died Monday, March 8, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Harmony, with the Rev. Timothy J. Sweet, officiating. Everyone please meet at church. Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania, 6620 Hamilton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206.Online condolences and directions are available at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
