Michael T. Churley, 62, of 1010 Delafield Road, Aspinwall, formerly of 104 McCracken Lane, Karns City, died Friday morning at the VA Medical Center, Aspinwall.

He was born in Altoona, a son of the late John F. and Agnes (Springman) Churley.

Surviving are three children, William E. Churley and his wife, Sara, of La Habra, Calif., Joyce C. Churley of Bellefonte and Linda M. Churley of Tonawanda, N.Y.; a grandchild, Kyra S. Churley of La Habra; a nephew, Ken Churley, a niece, Janine Henderson and a nephew, Brett Churley, all of Tuscon, Ariz.; his former wife, Gladys Churley; Pam Bryan, his fiancee; and grandchildren, Darren, Cheyenne, Kayelyn, Makayla Rose, Savanna, Rebecca, Dakota and Breann.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Richard "Dick" Churley, and a niece, Deborah.

Mr. Churley was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School.

He joined the U.S. Air Force following graduation and served a tour of duty in Vietnam, advancing to the rank of staff sergeant.

He had been a kiln oiler at the Armstrong Cement Co.

His interests were hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors.

<B>CHURLEY</B> — A memorial Mass for Michael T. Churley, who died Friday, March 5, 2010, will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bradys Bend. Committal was made Monday at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements are by the <B>Mauk & Yates Funeral Home</B>, Altoona.
