Philomena 'Minnie' Colosimo
Philomena "Minnie" Colosimo, 86, of Boyers passed away at 8:10 p.m. Monday at the Grove City Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born Dec. 7, 1923, in Branchton. She was the daughter of the late Thomas V. Colosimo and Rose Morillo Colosimo.
She was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church.
She retired from food services at Slippery Rock University.
She was a member of the Altar Society at Epiphany and the Nifty Fifty Club. She also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and an active member of AARP. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two brothers and their wives, Guy and Frances Colosimo of Butler and Thomas V. and Nancy Colosimo of Boyers; two sisters-in-law, Mary Evelyn Colosimo of Boyers and Marge Colosimo of Slippery Rock; one brother-in-law, Horace Kober of Slippery Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
<B>COLOSIMO</B> — Friends of Philomena "Minnie" Colosimo, who died Monday, March 1, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Epiphany Catholic Church with Father James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating. Burial will be in the Epiphany Cemetery.Rosary services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
