Norma Jean Billman Kelly, 80, of 18 West Ave., Oil City, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday at her home.

Born Feb. 4, 1930, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Norbert F. and Rachel McGlincy Billman.

Mrs. Kelly attended Indiana (Pa.) University and received a bachelor of science degree in music education. She also was classically trained on the pipe organ. She accompanied the Venango Chorale Society for many years.

She was the church organist at Second Presbyterian Church for 45 years, retiring in 2007. She previously taught music at the Oil City and Cranberry school districts.

Mrs. Kelly was a 58-year member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City and a member of the Winifred Tonkin Guild, the Oil City Garden Club and the Schubert Club.

She enjoyed music, traveling, sewing and the musical theater. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On June 26, 1954, she was married to Kenneth Dale Kelly, who preceded her in death on March 12, 2008.

Surviving are a daughter, Kay K. Guyton and her husband, TJ, of Apex, N.C.; three sons, Jeffrey K. Kelly of Carlisle, Scott A. Kelly and his wife, Kathleen, of Wexford and Timothy D. Kelly and his wife, Heather, of Collegeville, Montgomery County. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Carol McConnell of Butler.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, J. Kenneth Billman, and a sister, Dorothy Billman.

<B>KELLY</B> — A memorial service for Norma Jean Billman Kelly, who died Sunday, Feb 28, 2010, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Second Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Howard Gaston officiating.
