William L. Blakley, 75, of Butler passed away Friday at his residence.

He was born Feb. 28, 1935, in Butler, the son of the late William Edward Blakley and the late Viola (Kerr) Blakley Schnauffer.

He retired from the Melt Shop at Armco Steel. He enjoyed playing on computers.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Martha L. (King) Blakley of Butler; a daughter, Sue Ellen (John) Blicha of Brookville; three sons, David (Paula) Blakley of Mercer, Chris (Sandy) Blakley of Grove City and Tim (Lisa) Blakley of Butler; nine grandchildren, Darren, Alyssa, Kate and Sarah Blakley, Matt and Megan Blicha, Jennifer (Jefferis) Peterson, Kelly (Scot) Williamson and Amber (Nathaniel) Newkirk; two step grandchildren, Stephanie and Marisa Sapar; and a step great grandchild, Laila Benger.

He was preceded in death by an infant son and a brother.

<B>BLAKLEY</B> — Friends of William L. Blakley who died Friday, March 26, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Young Funeral Home Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday the funeral home with the Rev. Curtis McDaniel officiating.
