Alberta Ambrose, 83, of Cabot died Saturday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

Born Oct. 27, 1926, in Keister, she was the daughter of Harry Barron and Alice Hogg Barron.

She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, George E. Ambrose, Lois (Donald) Noullet and Janet Ambrose, all of Cabot; her brother, Tyler Barron of East Butler; two sisters, Bernice Ambrose of Crofton, Md., and Dorothy McBride of Butler; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, George Ambrose on Feb. 10, 1993.

<B>AMBROSE</B> — There will be no visitation. Services for Alberta Ambrose, who died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.
