7:27 p.m. Saturday — John T. Tirk, 33, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his father, 60-year-old Larry J. Gould of Butler, during a domestic dispute at Tirk's home on East Patterson Avenue. Tirk was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.
12:05 a.m. Saturday — Brian Blake, 38, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck crashed into a gas meter and tree along Route 356 in Summit Township. The crash caused a heavy gas leak in the area.A T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. crew was called and repaired the meter. Herman and East Butler volunteer firefighters assisted with traffic control.3:42 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Andrew L. Snyder, 17, of Renfrew crashed into an embankment and overturned on Double Road near Peth Lane in Connoquenessing Township. Guy R. Snyder, 17, of Renfrew, a passenger, suffered minor injuries. Andrew Snyder was cited for a lane violation.7:53 a.m. Feb. 25 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Timothy Scelsi, 22, of Greenville, Mercer County, crashed and rolled over on ice-covered Route 108 near Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.10:33 a.m. Feb. 15 — Waylon W. Maitland, 29, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 near the South Shore exit in Muddy Creek Township.
2:10 p.m. Thursday — Corrin M. Hillwig, 29, of Worthington was arrested for allegedly punching 30-year-old Justin J. Barber of Worthington in his face and head during an altercation in the parking lot of Long's Market in Worthington. Hillwig was arraigned on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief; she is free on her own recognizance.4:35 a.m. Thursday — Amy L. Kostella, 29, of East Brady was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Keener Road in Bradys Bend Township.5:10 p.m. Wednesday — Jesse Solomon, 23, of Leeper, Clarion Country, was arrested on felony drug possession and drugged driving charges after a traffic stop on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township.Police said they found Solomon with 146 stamp bags of suspected heroin and with a small amount of marijuana. A police drug recognition expert later examined the suspect and determined he was under the influence of a combination of drugs.Solomon was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and two unspecified traffic violations.Following arraignment, he was placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $20,000 bail.Justin Lamison, no age given, of Marienville, Forest County, a passenger in Solomon's vehicle, faces charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
8:50 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Laura M. Sabatini, 18, of Carlisle, Cumberland County, struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle on Route 208 in Pine Township. Sabatini was cited for careless driving. A police report did not identify the Grove City boy who was driving the SUV.11:20 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Benjamin M. Bires, 19, of Sandy Lake struck a cement culvert along Route 173 at Millbrook Road in Worth Township, Mercer County. Bires was cited for a lane violation.
