2:20 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by William Bertoncello, 52, of Slippery Rock hit a tree off Lions Road. He was not injured.2:19 p.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Laura Renfrew, 22, of Mars hit an embankment off Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township and overturned. Renfrew, who was not injured, was cited for not driving at a safe speed.6:30 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Jeremy Garing, 22, of Butler hit a snow embankment off Freeport Road in Jefferson Township before hitting a row of mailboxes.6:28 a.m. Saturday — A Penn-DOT plow truck driven by David Castor, 60, of Harrisville struck a tree off Branchton Road in Washington Township. Castor, who received minor injuries, told police he lost control of the truck due to illness. He was cited for not staying within the road's lane.2:08 a.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Eric McMillen, age unavailable, of Chicora allegedly hit a legally parked pickup on West Slippery Rock Street in Chicora before fleeing the scene. McMillen was cited for not staying in the road's lanes, driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended license, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle and not wearing a seat belt.Saturday — Robert L. Hartel Jr. of Petrolia reported the theft of an unspecified amount of coins from his vehicle while it was parked outside 175 Main St. between 1 and 4 a.m. Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — Joseph Kepple of Chicora reported the theft of an orange iPod Nano from his vehicle while it was parked outside 108 E. Slippery Rock St. between 5 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — A thief broke into the Playthings Etc. store on Route 8 in Clay Township and stole eight containers of radio control car nitro fuel between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8:50 p.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — Joseph Macurak, 79, of Fairview Township reported the theft of eight 20-inch pieces of copper tubing, a yellow heavy duty extension cord and a 20-pound box of brass nuts, worth a total of $285, from his wood shop at 510 Cherry Road between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.5:53 p.m. Friday — A maroon Pontiac Grand Prix with an unknown driver hit the rear of an SUV driven by Jessica Embrescia, 28, of Pittsburgh on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.10:07 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Jesse Helm, 21, of Kittanning lost control on snow-covered Route 422 in Clearfield Township, sideswiping the guardrails on the southern side before crossing the highway and hitting the guardrails on the northern side. Helm, who was not injured, was cited for not driving at a safe speed.9:10 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Collette Walchesky, 40, of Cabot traveled off a snow-covered Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township, went up an embankment and rolled onto its roof. Walchesky was cited for not driving at a safe speed.Friday — Matthew Miller, 22, of Fairview Township reported the theft of a VHS recorder, two amps and a paintball gun from his unlocked garage at 439 Cherry Road between 10 p.m. Thursday and 5:30 a.m. Friday. The thief also stole a plastic bank containing about $100 in change and various Craftsman hand tools from his unlocked truck while it was parked in his driveway as well as roughly $20 in cash from Myranda Martin's unlocked vehicle.9:10 p.m. Wednesday — Lawrence R. Rihn, age unavailable, of Emlenton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after police found him in his van parked at a closed car dealership off Route 8 in Center Township.

10:15 a.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Ryan Furl, 36, of Butler drove up an embankment off a slush-covered Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township before rolling back onto the road.

6:55 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Joshua Hines, 19, of Volant collided with a plow truck on Frew Mill Road in Slippery Rock Township. The plow was driven by Gary Mancini, 54, of New Castle. No injuries were reported.6:26 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Gregory Steffen, 48, of New Brighton hit the side of a plow truck driven by Michael Yeager, 45, of Enon Valley, Lawrence County, on Route 488 in Perry Township. Simultaneously, the plow truck, which slid while trying to avoid the car, hit the front of an SUV driven by Vernon Kerry, 74, of Sandpoint, Idaho, and the guard rail. No injuries were reported. Steffen was cited for not driving at a safe speed, not staying within the road's lane and driving without a valid license.3 p.m. Friday — A minivan driven by Samantha Gould, 23, of Volant hit a guardrail and a traffic sign along Route 1010 in Scott Township.5:40 p.m. Feb. 20 — A car driven by Randy Montalvo, 18, of Pulaski and a car driven by Sarah Getz, 27, of Volant collided at the intersection of Plain Grove Road and Route 1016 in Plain Grove Township. Getz received minor injuries.
