Eugene J. Hudak
Eugene J. Hudak of Fort Lauderdale, Fl., formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday.
Hudak retired from the Butler police department in 1971 as a sergeant and moved to Fort Lauderdale. He also served as an agent in the Counter Intelligence Department in Japan.
In Fort Lauderdale, he managed the Landmark Apartments in Plantation, Las Vistas of Inverary, and the Shore Club. He also was resident manager of the Sea Ranch Condominiums, where Mr. Hudak retired in 1995 after 15 years.
Presently he was employed as a clinical research coordinator at Therafirst Medical Center, alongside his daughter and son-in-law.
He was a valued member of the Italian-American Lodge of Fort Lauderdale, a life member of the Elks Lodge in Pompano Beach, and a former member of the Coral Ridge Yacht Club.
He loved to cook for his family every Sunday night and to cook and to entertain large dinner parties in his home, the last being a large party on New Year's Day. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Mr. Hudak is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Castilyn Hudak; daughter, Dr. Denise LaMarca; son-in-law, Dr. Anthony LaMarca; two grandsons, Roger and Ryan LaMarca; a brother, David Hudak of Atlanta; a sister, Patty Crouse of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Fort Lauderdale. Entombment will be at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Fort Lauderdale.
