2:20 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Angela Donnell, 24, of Bellvue, Allegheny County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Scott Bowser, 39, of Butler collided at Hansen and Goldwood avenues.3:30 a.m. Wednesday — A Butler man is accused of deliberately flooding his holding cell at the city police station and biting his mattress there in an attempt to rip it open.Police about 11:05 p.m. Tuesday arrested the suspect, 33-year-old Jeremy Flood, for public intoxication for yelling at neighbors on West Brady Street.It was the second time that night Flood had been cited for public drunkenness. In Butler Township, he was arrested at 8:40 p.m. after he was seen falling down on Kittanning Street.Township police took Flood into custody and later released him to family members.But not long after, Butler police said, he was in trouble again for unruly behavior at his West Brady Street apartment.He continued acting up at the holding cell. While there, he allegedly took off his clothes and tried to damage the mattress. He also placed his foot in the toilet and repeatedly flushed, flooding the cell, police said. In addition to public drunkenness, Flood is cited for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

Wednesday — Police are seeking the public's help in gathering information into a 7:47 a.m. crash at Evans City and North Eberhart roads.A police news release provided no details about the accident but noted no witnesses have come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

8:40 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Asa J. Davies, 17, of New Castle crashed into a utility pole and mailbox along Old Route 422 near Stoner Drive in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Davies was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
