1:04 p.m. Friday — Tina Marie Davies, 24, of Butler was charged with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance after she allegedly tried to take items from Benjamin Beetle without paying.10:06 a.m. Friday — Someone stole a Turbo Start 16V race car charger valued at $300 and a CNP race car part valued at $180, both belonging to Tyler Dietz of Butler, from his car while it was parked on West New Castle Street near Broad Street.8 p.m. Wednesday — A car owned by Dwayne R. Emerick of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while parked on South Washington Street. The suspect vehicle is an older model green Ford Escort, and the driver is described as a white woman with blond hair in her late 20s to early 30s.4 p.m. Tuesday — Gregory Paul Mazzanti, 27, of Butler was charged with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly tried to take several items from Dollar General without paying.12:01 p.m. Feb. 4 — Lucinda Jo Fleischer, 49, of Butler was cited for accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle after the SUV she was driving allegedly struck a pickup truck, belonging to Christopher J. Paul of Pittsburgh, parked on East Brady Street, then fled. Fleischer later admitted the accident to city police.
1:51 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Valencia boy and an SUV driven by Kathleen Mikesell, 58, of Butler collided at the intersection of South Main Street and McQuistion Road. Mikesell was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. The juvenile was cited for a stop sign violation.
