Fleishner

John L. Fleishner, 74, of Clinton Township, formerly of Hampton Township, died Friday at his home.

He was born in Hampton Township, Feb. 17, 1935, to the late John F. and Margaret (Zimmeriman) Fleishner.

He was a police officer in Hampton Township for 13 years before starting his own business, John L. Fleishner Construction Co., in Saxonburg. He retired from his business in 2001.

John was a member of the Summit Presbyterian Church and served for many years.

He is survived by a son, John "Jack" F. (JeNeen) Fleishner of Freeport; daughters, Carrie Peele of Raleigh, N.C., Christine (Kevin) Corace of Butler and Virginia "Gin" (Craig) Waltenbaugh of Templeton; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia. (Lighter) Fleishner, on Nov. 21, 2009.

<B>FLEISHNER </B>— Visitation for John L. Fleishner, who died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Herbert R. King Jr. Funeral Home</B>, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler, with Pastor Jonathon Evans officiating. Please meet at the church on Tuesday.
