The Fishers in 1950

Pastor Dave and Zelma "Mickey" Fisher will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Homeacre Chapel, 340 Whitestown Road, Butler.

Fisher married the former Zelma Marie Sparks on Feb. 14, 1950, at Arlington Street Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio.

They have six children, Dawn Oesterling of Slippery Rock, Daniel Fisher of Butler, Rebecca Ray of Butler, Jeanna Stallings of Goode, Va., Roseann Thornton of Phoenix and Nathan Fisher of Lynchburg, Va.

They also have 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Fisher is pastor of Homeacre Chapel.

Mrs. Fisher is a teacher at Homeacre Chapel.
