2:20 a.m. Wednesday — Jerome West, 28, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly assaulting a Slippery Rock female, who police did not identify, during a domestic dispute at a Cameron Drive home in Slippery Rock Township. The alleged victim suffered bruises to her neck and face.West was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.Wednesday — Shawn M. Smith, 30, of Zelienople waived to court a charge of driving under the influence stemming from a chain-reaction crash Jan. 14 in Connoquenessing Township.Police said Smith was eastbound on Route 68 near Whitestown Road when his vehicle struck the rear of a car driven by William G. Stitt, 63, of Renfrew. The collision forced Stitt's vehicle into the rear of another car driven by Ashley Shumaker, 22, of Slippery Rock.In addition to DUI, Smith faces in Butler County Court a charge of following too closely to another vehicle.7:32 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Dustin Bubb, 22, of Ellwood City and a car driven by Michael Coscarelli, 52, of Cranberry Township collided at Route 19 and Burnside Road in Muddy Creek Township.The crash spun the car into a sport utility vehicle driven by Pamela Kelly, 41, of Slippery Rock. Coscarelli, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said Bubb was cited for running a stop sign.3 a.m. Monday — A cash box containing $30 was stolen in a burglary at Everdry Waterproofing in Forward Township.

Tuesday — Someone stole the Pennsylvania license plate EHN8201 from a car in the student parking lot on Pinchalong Road at Grove City College in Pine Township.
