Monday — Police charged Kenneth Wright, 26, of Butler with making false reports to law enforcement authorities for allegedly lying about an assault last week.Wright told officers Jan. 25 that a woman he had met on the Internet attacked him. Wright had a deep cut on his left forearm. But later Wright admitted he had injured himself.Friday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Bradley Cramer, 27, of Summit Township on charges stemming from the Jan. 24 reported break-in of a home in the 400 block of West North Street. Cramer is charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

12:17 p.m. Saturday — Vehicles driven by David A. Childers, 23, of Lyndora and Sara R. Bobby, 16, of Butler collided on South Duffy Road near New Castle Road. Childers was cited for careless driving, a lane violation and driving at an unsafe speed.5:17 a.m. Saturday — Vishnu Denson, 29, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting her 2-year-old daughter at an Old Plank Road home.The child was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and released to the custody of Butler County Children and Youth Services.Denson is charged with simple assault, child endangerment and disorderly conduct.Friday — Margaret O'Loughlin, 46, of New Castle is accused of shoplifting cosmetics at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. She is charged with retail theft.

Friday — David Scott Gratner, 22, of Mount Lebanon, Allegheny County, was arrested after police found a baggie of suspected marijuana and a pipe in his vehicle in the parking lot on Madison Avenue. Gratner is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
