Wednesday — Thomas Robinson reported that someone overnight broke into his West North Street apartment and took $50.
Tuesday — Police charged Tyler Karch, 21, of Butler with a felony count of access device fraud after he allegedly used another person's bank card Dec. 20 to withdraw money from the victim's bank account. Karch also is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.Tuesday — Police charged three suspects for allegedly stealing money from a bank account with another person's bank debit card. Charged with access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property are Renee Burnworth, 30, of Ellwood City; Jared Campbell, 26, of Portersville; and Kristal Sacco, 23, of Butler.
12:20 a.m. Wednesday — Heath Confer, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck a bridge wall at Saxonburg and Great Belt roads in Jefferson Township.9:15 a.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Lewis E. Gates, 67, of Butler struck the rear of a pickup on Route 8 near South Benbrook Road in Center Township. David R. Rivers, 55, of Butler, who was driving the pickup, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said Gates was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.11:08 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Connie M. Orloski, 46, of Fenelton and an SUV driven by Thomas A. Vardy, 53, of Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, collided at Route 8 and Clearfield Circle in Center Township. Police said Orloski was cited for driving with a suspended license and a flashing red light violation.3:30 p.m. Saturday — Gerald P. Rumburg Sr., 58, and Russell L. Weitzel, 43, both of Butler, are both charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct in connection with a fight at a Country Club Road home in Franklin Township.8:45 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by George Yancura, 42, of Pittsburgh and a Mack truck driven by Greg Berteotti, 61, of Emlenton collided at Route 8 and Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township. The truck went off the road and into a ditch. Berteotti suffered a minor injury. Police said Yancura was cited for a stop sign violation.5:46 p.m. Jan. 12 — Douglas L. Giesler, 41, of Butler was arrested for DUI after his car struck the rear of a tractor-trailer on Route 8 at Clearview Mall in Center Township. Unionville volunteer firefighters were called and helped put out the fire. Giesler suffered a minor injury. Vernon G. Alden Jr., 40, of Cranberry Township was driving the rig.Jan. 14 — Police charged four Allegheny County residents in connection with the theft of scrap metal from the Stanzione scrap yard on Brewer Road in Clinton Township between April and August 2009.Charged with theft, conspiracy and trespass are Nicholas J. Brucker, 22, Sharon Anne Kaufman, 19, and Chad Allen Watt, 35, all of Tarentum; and Robert Allen Keller, 22, of Gibsonia.
Jan. 14 — A 17-year-old Grove City boy is accused of stealing Heather Yesko's car to flee the George Junior Republic juvenile residential facility in Pine Township.12:08 a.m. Jan. 14 — John Piruta, 51, of Osceola Mills, Clearfield County, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township.1:30 p.m. Jan. 13 — Robert Martin, age unavailable, of Grove City was charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief after allegedly breaking into the Liberty Township home of Steven Johnson on Amsterdam Road and stealing unspecified items. After being arrested on Jan. 14, he was placed in Mercer County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond. Judy Martin, age unavailable, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, theft, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass after allegedly driving Robert Martin to and from Johnson's residence. Judy Martin was placed on $10,000 bail. She was not listed as an inmate this morning.12:10 a.m. Jan. 11 — A car driven by Timothy Weber, 39, of Grove City hit a sign post and ditch off Millbrook Road in Jackson Township before overturning. He was not injured.9 p.m. Jan. 6 — Someone damaged unspecified items in John Foust's garage on Pennsy Road in Springfield Township. Anyone with information may call police at 724-662-6162.
Wednesday — Someone damaged the passenger side mirror of a tractor-trailer parked at the Emlenton Truck Plaza in Scrubgrass Township between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.2:30 a.m. Wednesday — An unknown male tricked the clerk at the Kwik Fill in Barkeyville into giving him back more money than he should have gotten.
