11:30 p.m. Friday — Beth Skibicki, 44, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her pickup crashed into a fence and a utility pole along Sunset Drive in Center Township. Skibicki suffered a minor injury.12:01 a.m. Friday — A pickup driven by Mitchell R. Thrower, 19, of Saxonburg struck two trees after sliding off snow-covered Ohara Road in Jefferson Township.Friday — Police filed a felony theft charge against Richard J. Faust, 43, of New Castle for allegedly depositing two checks from a closed bank account last month into an account at First National Bank on Route 19 in Portersville.Faust, a police report said, defrauded the bank out of $6,100. He is charged with theft by deception and bad checks.8:07 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Jessica D. Lackner, 21, of Akron, Ohio, crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Police said Lackner was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.1:39 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup driven by George C. Early, 40, of Hilliards crashed into an embankment on Schnur Road in Summit Township. Police said Early, who suffered a minor injury, was cited for a lane violation and not wearing a seat belt.Tuesday — Someone used information from a PNC check card belonging to an Eau Claire woman to buy $1,485 worth of merchandise from John Carter Jewelry on the Internet.3 p.m. Jan. 3 — A wallet containing $360 was stolen from a West Sunbury man at a Delu Road home in Clay Township.Jan. 3 — Someone between Dec. 16 and Jan. 3 broke into an apartment along Sanderson Road in Slippery Rock Township, stealing an I-Mac computer and a 20-inch Samsung television.1:05 p.m. Dec. 28 — Heidi L. Cunningham, 21, of Sarver lost control of her sport utility vehicle and hit a tree after traveling into woods along Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township. Police said Cunningham was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
6:56 p.m. Sunday — An unknown thief stole four purses from the Coach store in Springfield Township. The suspect is described as a white female with short, black curly hair. She was wearing a black coat, black pants and white shoes, and was seen driving away in a black sport utility vehicle.11 a.m. Dec. 23 — Julie Ann Snow, 32, of Harrisville was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal $101 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart store in Grove City.
