2:45 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were hurt when cars driven by Marie A. Scott, 64, of East Butler and Cody H. Watterson, 24, of Karns City collided at East Jefferson and Elm streets. Scott and a passenger in Watterson's car, Tabitha Watterson, 23, of Karns City, were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.12:45 a.m. Sunday — Alexander Cash Jr., 29, of Butler is accused of assaulting 47-year-old James McCloskey of Penn Township outside a Pillow Street bar. Police said Cash allegedly punched McCloskey, who was knocked backward and hit his head on the pavement.McCloskey was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with an unspecified injury. Cash is charged with simple assault.

8:17 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Corey C. McClaine, 19, of Parker sideswiped a truck on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Police said McClaine was cited for illegally passing another vehicle. Donald T. Allday, 51, of Sarver was driving the truckFriday — Someone used a BB gun to shoot out several windows at the Hays Apartments on Grant Avenue in East Butler, causing about $1,000 in damage. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.7 p.m. Thursday — Police reported they are searching for David "Pat" Duncan, 58, of Butler, who suffers from medical conditions for which he does not have his medications.A police news release said Duncan was last seen at the American Legion Post in Butler on Thursday. He is described as 6 feet tall and 300 pounds, with gray hair and a mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a black sweat shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.Police said Duncan could be driving a maroon, 1993 Dodge Dakota with a tan stripe. Anyone with information about the man's whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.1:30 a.m. Thursday — Michael Steinhiser, 32, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on West Slippery Rock Street in Chicora.

3:40 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Lorraine F. Sowash, 63, of Grove City and Yelena Borodyanskiy, 50, of Girard, Ohio, collided on snow-covered Route 173 in Wolf Creek Township.12:22 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Derek J. Urben, 26, of Grove City struck a utility pole after sliding off snow- and ice-covered Enterprise Road near Shady Drive in Pine Township. Ryan D. Shoop, 24, of Grove City, a passenger, suffered a minor injury.11:13 a.m. Monday — Kayla M. Sample, 16, of Grove City was hurt when her car slid on ice, flipped onto it side and struck a tree along North Liberty Road in Liberty Township. Sample, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.

1:45 p.m. Monday — Someone cut down and stole a 5-foot pine tree belonging to Janet L. King of Freeport at her property on Stokes Road in South Buffalo Township.5:45 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Rodger John of Kittanning was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Route 1033 in North Buffalo Township. The suspect vehicle is a dark-colored Ford pickup truck. John was not injured.
