Stephen Donnel of Evans City was one of three Westminster College mathematics students to participate in the 70th annual Putnam Examination Dec. 5 on campus.The Putnam Exam is a mathematical test taken by undergraduate students. The five highest-ranking individuals are designated Putnam Fellows by the Mathematical Association of America. Results are expected in late March.The exam is sponsored locally by Westminster's Mathematics and Computer Science department.Donnel is a junior mathematics major. A graduate of Seneca Valley High School, he is the son of Paula Donnel of Evans City and Douglas Donnel of Warner Robins, Ga.
