10:45 p.m. Thursday — James Joseph Kelly, 20, of Butler was charged with driving under a suspended license and providing false identification to law enforcement following a traffic stop on South Main Street.7:50 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Lauretta Phillips, 80, of Butler and an SUV driven by Eric J. Hertzog, no age given, of Valencia collided on West North Street near Church Street. No injuries were reported.6:12 p.m. Thursday — Bryan Leroy Byers, 32, of Butler was charged with simple assault after he allegedly threw his girlfriend against a wall during an argument at her Armstrong Avenue residence, injuring her eye.1:42 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Thomas J. Papke, 62, of Parker and a van driven by Gladys I. Rea, 72, of Butler collided at the intersection of Mercer and Penn streets. Papke suffered minor injuries and Rea suffered unknown injuries.12:43 p.m. Thursday — Someone entered a storage unit along North McKean Street and stole an antique fire truck toy valued at $300 and a John Wayne Bowie knife valued at $100, both belonging to Ralph Smith of Butler.7:36 p.m. Wednesday — Matthew Ryan Ratay, 28, of Renfrew was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft after he allegedly tried to steal a pair of Trac Phones valued at $30 apiece from Dollar General.
1:19 a.m. Thursday — Jeffrey Blymiller, 28, of Butler was charged with DUI, driving at unsafe speed and careless driving after the vehicle he was driving crashed along Sawmill Run Road.4:40 p.m. Tuesday — A 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, both from Lyndora, each were charged with criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly shot at a window in Lyndora with a BB gun.
11:25 p.m. Wednesday — Gordon L. Taggart, 43, of Butler was charged with DUI and several traffic violations after the vehicle he was driving struck a utility pole along Mercer Road near Connemara Lane in Center Township. Taggart was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.12:01 p.m. Wednesday — Someone took a Bosch hammer drill belonging to Thomas Ferarro of Butler from a barn along Ferraro Lane in Jefferson Township between 5 p.m. Dec. 10 and noon Wednesday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.9:09 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Margaret E. Humphrey, 73, of Slippery Rock and a car driven by Carrie E. Lynn, 58, of Butler collided on Sunset Drive. Both drivers were uninjured.1 p.m. Dec. 13 — A car driven by Dustin C. Gilbert, 22, of Ellwood City crashed into a boulder along Route 19 in Lancaster Township. Gilbert suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital. Gilbert was cited for driving too fast for conditions.10:39 p.m. Aug. 21 — Courtney Miller, 27, of Butler was charged with theft after she allegedly took 10 inspection stickers from a locked security box at Miller Garage on Davis Road in Oakland Township.
10:44 a.m. Dec. 20 — A car driven by Rachel L. Enis, 19, of Grove City and a pickup truck driven by Douglas H. Swope, 55, of Butler collided on Brent Road in Liberty Township. Enis and her passenger, Beth A. Nunamaker, 24, of Beaver, each suffered minor injuries. Enis was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
