12:35 p.m. Sunday — James Thomas Matuke III, 21, and Tawny Matuke, 20, both of Butler each were charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly tried to steal $107 worth of merchandise from Kmart.9:48 p.m. Sunday — Courtney Miller, 27, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the city after police allegedly found a syringe and six empty stamp bags in her vehicle.3:07 p.m. Saturday — Someone broke into a vacant residence along McGeary Street, stealing numerous tools belonging to Stephen W. Horniacek of Butler.1:57 a.m. Saturday — Adam Anderson Russell, 25, of Lyndora was charged with DUI, DUI — high rate of alcohol and failure to obey traffic signals following a traffic stop on Pepper Street.4:08 p.m. Friday — Someone stole a Sony car stereo valued at about $100 and belonging to Jeffrey Lucco of Butler while his car was parked along North Washington Street between Tuesday and Friday.5:27 p.m. Thursday — Someone stole eight metal Budweiser and Mountain Dew signs valued at $200 and belonging to Thomas Snyder of Butler while they were hanging on the wall of the porch at his Third Avenue home.
3:50 p.m. Sunday — Four juvenile boys were cited for retail theft after they were caught trying to take items from the Wal-Mart at Butler Commons without paying.Sunday — Wayne R. Graham, 31, of Chicora was cited for trespassing after he was allegedly found on the Wal-Mart Property at Butler Commons after being ordered not to be there.Sunday — Nathaniel Mahood of Karns City was charged with retail theft after he allegedly tried to steal video games from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.5:28 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Robert Thompson, 90, of Karns City and a car driven by Gretchen Hay, 31, of Butler collided along Route 422.12:57 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Krystal Johnston, 23, of Butler and a car driven by Jo Lumley, 46, of Butler collided on New Castle Road.
1 a.m. Monday — Someone struck a decorative light post with a vehicle in the Grace Street parking lot between 8 a.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-458-7925.Dec. 13 — Timothy Foster, 43, of Slippery Rock was charged with stalking, simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly followed his wife into Grove City and rammed her car with his vehicle in a Grove City College parking lot on South Broad Street.Oct. 27 — Jessica Kirby, 29, of Mercer was charged with theft by deception and bad checks after she allegedly cashed a fraudulent check for $2,210.99 at Grove City Area Federal Credit Union.
10:40 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Stephanie L. Gasser, 19, of Willowick, Ohio, and an SUV driven by Albert A. Schultz Jr., 28, of New Castle collided on Route 208 in Springfield Township. Gasser was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Saturday — Someone used a credit card belonging to Janice Brinker of Grove City to make fraudulent purchases on the Internet between Friday and Saturday.1 p.m. Friday — Someone stole $107 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart along Route 58 in Pine Township. The suspect is a white man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds with black sideburns. He was wearing a Westminster College hooded sweat shirt and tan shorts and fled the scene in a yellow Ford Mustang. Anyone with information should call police at 724-662-6162.1:10 a.m. Dec. 4 — Robert A. Noble of Grove City was charged with DUI following a traffic stop along Route 58 in Findley Township.
5 p.m. Sunday — A blue, 1995 Yamaha Warrior ATV, model YFM350, belonging to George Michaels of Slippery Rock, was stolen from the front yard of a residence along Perry Highway in Scott Township, Lawrence County.
Oct. 2 — The Bar Louie at the intersection of Route 19 and Freedom Road in Cranberry Township was cited for operating without a health permit, which expired Sept. 24, as well as failing to notify the LCB within 15 days of the change of a manager.
