10:22 a.m. Sunday — First United Methodist Church on East North Street reported the theft of two black leather coats from a coat rack at the church during a service. Terry Lee McGarrah, 54, of Butler, owner of one of the coats, told police his $200 cell phone and car keys were inside the stolen garment.11:31 a.m. Saturday — Kelly Jean O'Connell, 30, of Butler reported the theft of a $50 CD player from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight outside 304 E. Brady St. The thief caused $100 worth of damage to the vehicle's dash in removing the player.12:59 a.m. Tuesday — John Allen Walbert, 26, of Lyndora was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and driving without rear lights following a traffic stop on West Cunningham Street. Police found a syringe, a metallic marijuana separator, a pack of rolling papers and an empty heroin stamp bag in Walbert's vehicle. Shanna Roxanne Robison, 22, of Butler, Walbert's passenger, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. Following a hearing later that day, she was released.7:54 a.m. Dec. 14 — Oscar Cosme Jr., 30, of Butler was charged with simple assault after allegedly choking his wife, Elizabeth Cosme, at their home at 402½ McKay Ave. Police report her chest and neck were red. In addition to the new charge, Oscar Cosme had two outstanding warrants for driving under the influence and simple assault. He was jailed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.
7:40 p.m. Saturday — Spring Heather Brunswick, 25, of New Castle was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call at Adams Manufacturing in Muddy Creek Township.3:35 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Joel Walker, 23, of Worthington crossed the double yellow lines on Route 68 and collided with an SUV driven by Stacy Debacco, 43, of Chicora. Walker received moderate injuries.Friday — A 2009 Gravely Zero Clearance tractor and four weed eaters, worth a total $14,400, were stolen from the garage at Slippery Rock Cemetery in Slippery Rock Township between 4 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.Thursday — Several fence posts at the Brady Township residence of Dina Lynn Cupec at 238 Staff Road were damaged overnight. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.1:26 p.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Sarah Dittig, 19, of West Sunbury and a car driven by Jacqueline Gaudino, 51, of Butler collided on Route 38 in Concord Township. Dittig was cited for not yielding the right of way while pulling out of a driveway.Dec. 11 — A credit card account of Virginia Craig of Franklin Township was used to make fraudulent purchases.9:55 p.m. Dec. 8 — A car driven by Sean Freese, 21, of Wexford hit a garage off Mars-Evans City Road in Forward Township. He received moderate injuries.Dec. 5 — The bank account of Lisa Gail of Saxonburg was fraudulently accessed to make more than $300 worth of purchases online.
Sunday — A small safe containing $800 was stolen from the office at Le Gourmet Chef on Leesburg Road in Grove City between 6 and 6:40 p.m.6:40 p.m. Saturday — Delores Carson, 28, and Shanea Kelly, 27, both of Akron, were charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing $470 worth of items from four stores at Grove City Outlets in Springfield Township. Police located the two women on Interstate 80.
