Thursday — Police filed drunken driving and other charges against Timothy J. Lindstrom, 59, of Cabot, stemming from a Nov. 22 crash in Winfield Township.Police said the crash occurred when Lindstrom's 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse caught fire after hitting a garbage can and road sign, and rolling onto its hood on Keasey Road near Scheible Lane.Lindstrom was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries.He is charged with driving under the influence, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving, reckless driving and a lane violation.Wednesday — An unknown burglar stole jewelry and money worth a combined $475 from a Welsh Road home in Connoquenessing Township. Police said the house was unlocked when it was broken into between 10:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.9:55 p.m. Tuesday — Sean M. Freese, 21, of Wexford suffered moderate injuries when his car crashed into a garage along Mars-Evans City Road in Forward Township.12:58 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Bruce Carlson, 64, of East Brady, Clarion County, struck a concrete median on Route 422 about one-half mile east of Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.7:35 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Megan E. Leo, 24, hit an ice patch and rolled over on Yellow Creek Road near Stone Church Road in Muddy Creek Township. Leo suffered a minor injury.3:21 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Carole M. Boice, 55, of Butler struck a utility pole along ice-covered Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Boice faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.Tuesday — An unknown vandal damaged a fence at a home on Franklin Oaks Drive in Franklin Township. Damage was estimated at $75.Monday — A tailgate was stolen from a 1999 GMC Sonoma at an East Slippery Rock Street home in Chicora. The tailgate, valued at $500, was taken between midnight and 9 a.m.5 a.m. Sunday — Robert A. Rutkowski, 20, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, is suspected of driving under the influence after his car struck and sheared off a utility pole along Route 422 in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Rutkowski, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a minor injury, was cited for a lane violation.
2:33 a.m. Thursday — A tractor-trailer driven by Edward C. Dotson, 45, of South Holland, Ill., struck an embankment on ice-covered Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Clarion County. The trailer rolled over after the crash, blocking the left eastbound lane. Police said Dotson faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.3:15 a.m. Wednesday — Two Rimersburg men were hurt when a truck driven by Justin J. McIntyre, 27, crashed into a tree along Kissenger Mills Road in Madison Township. McIntrye and Stanley Smith, 29, a passenger, were taken to Clarion Hospital with minor to moderate injuries. Police said McIntyre faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.
