Sunday — Two bicycles were reported stolen from a home in the 600 block of Riverside Avenue. The bikes were taken sometime around the beginning of November. One bike is a green, 24-inch Next Chaos valued at $85; the other is a pink, 24-inch Next bicycle with no pedals, valued at $75.Sunday — Police cited Joden World Resources for control of alarm devices and automatic dialing devices after they received the eighth false alarm at the business in 12 months.12:05 a.m. Friday — A 16-year-old boy is accused of threatening his mother in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue. The boy is charged in juvenile court with terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and simple assault.Nov. 25 — Police filed charges of theft by deception and bad checks against David E. Pieropan, 25, of Pittsburgh stemming from an alleged bounced check passed Oct. 9 at Saxony House Furniture on South Broad Street.Nov. 1 — John Rathfon 66, of Slippery Rock is accused of pepper spraying another person in front of a home in the 600 block of Liberty Street. Rathfon is charged with simple assault and harassment.
Monday — An unknown burglar stole jewelry, a laptop computer, Kodak digital camera and Sony video camera from a Branchton Road home in Cherry Township. The break-in happened between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.7:48 a.m. Dec. 2 — Pickup trucks driven by Nick Spryn, 84, of Butler and David C. Chutz, 58, of Harrisville collided at Route 8 and Kipper Lane in Mercer Township.Dec. 1 — A Fenelton man reported someone stole $720 from his vehicle on Hay Road in Clearfield Township. The theft occurred between 5:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.Nov. 30 — A silver iPod Nano, an iPod charger, Fuji digital camera and a checkbook were stolen from a car at a Petrolia Street home in Karns City. The thief got into the car through an open passenger side window sometime between 9 p.m. Nov. 29 and 1:45 a.m. Nov. 30.Nov. 30 — A Butler man's snowblower, valued at $200, was stolen in a burglary between Sept. 30 and Nov. 30 at My Space Storage in Connoquenessing Township.Sept. 30 — A sixth grade student's trumpet was stolen between Sept. 1 and 30 from the Slippery Rock Middle School in Slippery Rock Township.
6:45 p.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Raymond W. Alexander, 38, of Virginia hit a ditch and guardrail on ice-covered Route 173 near Turner Lane in Worth Township.4:11 p.m. Monday — Abby L. Tobias, 21, of Grove City was hurt when her car went down an embankment and hit a culvert pipe and rocks after spinning out on ice-covered Cranberry Road in Pine Township. Tobias was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries.3:37 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Brett Henlen, 32, of Mercer struck a tree after skidding on an ice patch and going down an embankment on Route 208 near TCI Park Drive in Pine Township.
