2:17 a.m. Sunday — Charles Jennings, 49, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance by an inmate. Butler County Prison employees found two pills on Jennings and a third pill in the toilet after he was brought to the jail on a bench warrant.

8:58 p.m. Friday — Katie Ross, 28, of Butler was charged with retail theft after police were called to Wal-Mart. The items were valued at $158.8:07 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Taylor S. Watterson, 23, of Butler hit the embankment on Litman Road. The vehicle rolled over before coming to rest against the guardrail. The driver was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Watterson was cited for driving without a license, careless driving and speeding.12:25 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Alyssa Boron, 33, of New Castle and Mark Shuler Sr., 49, of Butler collided on New Castle Road. Boron was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.

11:45 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Heather Kulwicki, 19, of Pittsburgh hit a guardrail after spinning out of control on ice-covered Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.4 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Michael J. McCloskey, 44, and Arlene F. Smith, 50, both of Chicora, collided on Route 68 in Oakland Township. Police said McCloskey was cited for failure to yield.12:46 p.m. Monday — A tractor-trailer rollover forced police and PennDOT to close one northbound lane on I-79 at the Zelienople exit in Jackson Township.The crash happened when Curtis B. Wilson, 51, of Warren, Ohio, lost control of the rig, causing the trailer's load to shift. The vehicle hit a guardrail and several traffic signs before rolling onto its passenger side.9 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Bonnie Atakay, 48, of Pittsburgh struck a guardrail on Branchton Road near Rock Hill Lane in Cherry Township. Police said the crash occurred after Atakay's car sustained an unknown problem with a wheel or a drive train malfunction.1:10 a.m. Monday — Stephanie Fincher, 21, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Cole and Parker roads in Buffalo Township.9:03 p.m. Saturday — Two passengers were hurt when a car hit an ice patch and crashed into a tree along Glenwood Way near Lakeshore Drive in Center Township. Nicholas Martinkovich, 17, of Connoquenessing was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuriesA second passenger in the car, Elizabeth Herdon, 17, of Butler suffered a minor injury. Police said the driver, Christopher R. Martinkovich, fled the scene after the crash. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Thursday — Several unspecified items were stolen in a burglary at a Nicklin Road home in Pine Township.
