Lillian L. "Betty" Smith, 85, of Cabot died Wednesday at Fair Winds Manor. A strong Christian by faith, she is now reunited with family and friends in Heaven.

Born July 3, 1924, in Monongahela Township, she was the daughter of Leonard Carr and Pearl (Guesman) Carr.

She was a custodian for the South Butler County School District.

She loved to cross-stich crosses, which she gave out to as many people as she could to share her love of the Lord. She was also very talented at writing inspirational poems.

Surviving are her son, John (Terry) Smith of Cabot; her daughter, Donna (Tom) Stover of Cabot; her sister, Jean (Delmar) Shilling of Butler; six grandchildren, John (Kim) Smith, Vicki (Mike) Denny, Laura Stover, Connie (Michael) Lowe, Jackie (Anthony) Kulfman and Susie (Matt) Kiffer; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Elery J. Smith, on June 8, 1969; a daughter-in-law, Donna Smith; three brothers, and two sisters.

<B>Smith</B> — Friends of Lillian L. "Betty" Smith, who died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at the funeral home at 4 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Raymond Lesseski officiating.
