3:13 a.m. Sunday — Derek E. Morter, 21, of Lyndora was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck a vehicle parked on Pillow Street.1:42 a.m. Sunday — Two people were charged after police were called to a Zeigler Avenue apartment for a complaint of loud music. Police cited the tenant, Gilmore A. Hilliard Jr., 45, for supplying alcohol to a minor. April R. Gibson, 18, was cited for underage drinking.

Wednesday — Someone shot a pellet gun at the rear window of a tan minivan parked outside a home in the 400 block of Liberty Street. The vandalism occurred between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. The van sustained an unspecified amount of damage.

9:21 a.m. Saturday — Adam Robert Snyder II, formerly of Slippery Rock was arrested at a Route 8 home in Slippery Rock Township on an Army warrant for military desertion. He was placed in the Butler County Prison.Saturday — Numerous cartons of cigarettes, mainly Marlboro brand, as well as chewing tobacco products were stolen in a burglary at Logan Inc. on Route 68 in Connoquenessing. The break-in occurred between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 a.m. Saturday.Saturday — An unknown burglar used a hatchet to break a second-floor window at a Hicks Road home in Penn Township. A police report did not say if anything was taken in the overnight burglary.Saturday — Four people were arrested for driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint conducted by the state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force between Friday night and Saturday morning. Officers also made eight other criminal arrests, wrote 13 traffic tickets and issued 43 warnings.7:30 p.m. Friday — Brent Dunmire, 51, of Parker Township was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 268 at the Bruin Service Station in Bruin.Wednesday — A 42-inch, Vizio plasma television was stolen between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. in a burglary at a North Road home in Franklin Township.Wednesday — An unidentified pickup truck smashed through a gate at the Rails To Trails on Marwood Road in Winfield Township. The head gate sustained unspecified damage.2:42 a.m. Nov. 21 — Michael J. Torbett, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car struck a tree along Route 528 near Route 8 in Brady Township.11:10 p.m. Nov. 18 — Linda K. Cypher, 48, of Butler, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after the SUV she was driving struck a guardrail, traveled over an embankment and ended against several trees on Green Manor Road near Route 356 in Summit Township.

12:40 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Briana Mitcheson, 23, of Ford City hit a deer on Route 28 about a quarter mile south of Exit 18 in South Buffalo Township.6:35 p.m. Friday — David P. Dourlain, 44, of Freeport was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 at Exit 11 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.

Sunday — Police announced they are investigating an arson in which a Beaver County man's car was set ablaze in a wooded area near Route 19 and Shady Trail in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
