Sunday — A Christmas decoration was reported stolen from the front yard of a home in the 900 block of Center Avenue. The lighted deer, worth $40, was taken between noon and 2:30 p.m.4:56 p.m. Saturday — Christopher D. Otto, 25, of Center Township was arrested on a warrant after police spotted him getting out of a vehicle at a convenience store parking lot on West Jefferson Street.Police searched him and found a small bag containing suspected cocaine. Otto told officers, according to a police report, that the white powder was baking soda."(He) stated he was going to sell it to someone to 'rip them off,'" the report said.Otto was arraigned on charges connected to the warrant and possession of a controlled substance, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.

10:20 p.m. Friday — Brandon Sandusky, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car ran into a minivan on Branchton Road near Grubb Road in Cherry Township.The driver of the van, Kevin Giddings, 39, no age given, and two passengers, Hope Giddings, 34, and an 11-year-old boy, no addresses given, suffered minor injuries. Both passengers were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.Police said in addition to DUI, Sandusky faces charges of underage drinking and several traffic violations.4:24 p.m. Friday — A suspected drunken driver, who police did not identify, tried to drive away with two blown car tires after crashing into an embankment and rock on Muddy Creek Drive near Route 8 in Brady Township.12:20 p.m. Friday — Susan Elaine Blusk, 30, of Kittanning allegedly shoplifted several pieces of jewelry and clothing at the Boscov's store at Clearview Mall in Center Township. Police said she put the items, valued at $362, in her purse and tried to leave the store. She is charged with retail theft.5:20 p.m. Thursday — Someone forced open a cellar door at a Westminster Road home in Penn Township. Nothing was taken in the burglary.

8 p.m. Friday — Hillary Lynn Donivan, 22, of Worthington was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 268 at the Hill Top Plaza in East Franklin Township.5:51 p.m. Friday—A car driven by Kathyrn Zik, 40, of Dayton and a pickup truck driven by Matthew Thaemert, 20, of Sarver collided on Route 422 at the Route 28 ramp in Manor Township. Police said Zik was cited for a traffic control device violation.

4:29 p.m. Saturday — Codey Ray Double, 18, of Harrisville was arrested for allegedly shoplifting several items at the Wal-Mart store in Pine Township.

Friday — A license plate was stolen from a vehicle at a Firehall Road home in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Friday.
