William A. Heck, 85, of Butler passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 4, 1924, in Unionville, the son of the late John P. Heck Sr. and Esther Marie (Daubenspeck) Heck.

William was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, having served in World War II.

He had worked at St. Jude Golf Course in Chicora.

Surviving are a sister, Geraldine and her husband, Donald Bryan, of Trussville, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John P. Jr., Carl E. and Robert K. Heck; and two infant brothers.
