Martha Balfour

Martha Balfour of Butler, formerly of Connoquenessing, will celebrate her 90th birthday with a family dinner.

The former Martha Zinn was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Butler. She married John Balfour on April 13, 1942, in Butler. He is deceased.

She has two children, Beverly Balfour of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Linda Sheridan of Meridian. Another child, Timothy Balfour, is deceased.

She also has two grandchildren.

Mrs. Balfour is retired from Butler Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a nurses aide in the maternity department.

She is a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Butler Chapter No. 45, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Balfour attends Connoquenessing United Methodist Church in Connoquenessing.
