William C. Ifft

William "Bill" Ifft of Butler celebrated his 90th birthday Sunday with a family dinner and open house at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Butler.

Mr. Ifft was born Nov. 8, 1919, in New Brighton, Pa. He married Janet (Yeager) Ifft on March 9, 1941, at the First Church of God in New Brighton. She is deceased.

He has one child, Susan (Ifft) Pranno of Chardon, Ohio. He also has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army serving in the Philippines during World War II.

He has been a Butler resident since 1947 and worked for Montgomery Ward for more than 35 years managing the furniture and catalog departments.

He is a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
