2:17 a.m. Sunday — Roger Crawford, 48, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence at Zeigler and Heim avenues. A breath test showed Crawford's blood-alcohol level was 0.354 percent, or nearly 4½ times the level considered intoxicated under state law. Police also cited Crawford for driving on the wrong side of the road.State Police, Butler1:30 a.m. Sunday — Paul Jacob Collins, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Bonniebrook and Brinker roads in Summit Township.8:10 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by John Daniluk Sr., 58, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Raymond V. Kallner, 62, of Sarver collided on Route 68 near Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Daniluk was cited for failing to yield.8:07 a.m. Saturday — Jonathan W. Selby, 23, of New Brighton, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a tree along Overbrook Road in Middlesex Township.1:45 a.m. Saturday — Marc Brenner, 22, of Cranberry Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Routes 8 and 228 in Middlesex Township.Saturday — Two people were arrested for drunken driving during a joint checkpoint detail conducted by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force.In all, 192 vehicles were stopped. Officers issued six citations and arrested two people for driving with suspended licenses. One person also was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.10:30 p.m. Friday — Braden Kent Campbell, 44, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Terry Weston, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Cemetery Road home in Venango Township.Weston was treated at Grove City Medical Center for a perforated ear drum and other injuries in the suspected assault, according to court documents.Campbell was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is free on $5,000 bail.7 p.m. Friday — Calib J. Newman, 24, of Slippery Rock is accused of providing three Slippery Rock area youths, all 14, with alcohol he bought at Slippery Rock Plaza in Slippery Rock Township. Newman faces charges of corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to minors.12:36 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt when cars driven by Beverly E. Schwartz, 74, of Mars and Jay A. Funyak, 24, of Gibsonia collided head-on on the off-ramp to Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Both drivers were treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry for minor injuries.The crash happened, police said, when Schwartz traveled onto the I-79 off-ramp at Exit 78 in the wrong direction. Police said she was cited for unspecified traffic violations.5:47 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Tammy Brenenborg, 41, of Parker struck a deer on Route 268 in Parker Township.Thursday — An unknown thief stole fuel after cutting a hole in the fuel tank of a company truck in the Quality Stove Veneer parking lot on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township. The theft happened between Oct. 31 and Thursday.

5:25 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Harry J. Kelly, no age given, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.

Sunday — Police reported that unknown scam artists last month defrauded a 77-year-old Grove City man out of an unspecified amount of money by making him believe he had won a lottery.6:31 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Cheryl A. Savill, 62, of Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, crashed and rolled over twice on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Police said the crash occurred when Savill, who suffered a minor injury, apparently fell asleep at the wheel. She was cited, police said, for careless driving.3 a.m. Sunday — Joshua A. McNamara, 19, of Stoneboro was hurt when the car he was driving crashed into a tree along Springfield Church Road near Bradley Road in Jackson Township. Police said McNamara, who was treated at Grove City Medical Center for minor injuries, was cited for a lane violation.

10:20 p.m. Nov. 1 — A car driven by James R. McCaslin, 22, of Renfrew hit a tree along Route 60 in Pulaski Township. The crash happened, police said, when McCaslin apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Police said he faces a ticket for careless driving.
