Joseph and Gertrude Ragan of Prospect celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Ragan married the former Gertrude McGowan on Nov. 6, 1949, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have five children, Joe Ragan, Don Ragan, Jim Ragan, Helen Morris and Bev McKinney, all of Prospect.

They also have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ragan served in the Air Force during World War II. He is retired from the home construction business and is a lifelong farmer.

Mrs. Ragan is a homemaker. She has worked by her husband's side on their farm for their entire married life and is known among her family for her delicious baking and cooking.

The Ragans attend St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect.
