Travis Hayes of Sarver graduated with honors and perfect attendance from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute in Oakdale.He received an associate degree in engineering. He studied computer aided drafting design engineering.Hayes is employed by Forms and Surfaces in Etna.A 2007 graduate of Knoch High School, he is the son of Richard and Debbie Hayes of Sarver.––––––
Craig McGinnis-Corbett graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.The four-week course is a leadership internship for cadets that can lead to becoming an Army officer.College students experience and examine the Army without an obligation to serve in the Army or ROTC, and are eligible to receive two-year college scholarship offers and attend the Advanced ROTC Course at their college. Cadets are observed and evaluated during classroom and field training exercises to determine their officer potential and leadership abilities and skills.
McGinnis-Corbett is a student at Slippery Rock University and a 2005 graduate of Knoch High School.He is the son of Charles and Cord Corbett of Saxonburg.––––––
Catherine Schratz of Butler has been accepted to Saint Vincent College for the fall 2010 semester.The daughter of Ray and Anne Schratz, she expects to graduate from St. Joseph High School in June.At St. Joseph she is a member of student ministry council, the newspaper staff, science club, diocesan youth council, church ministry and serves as a student ambassador. She plans to major in Catholic theology at Saint Vincent.––––––
Johnna Venuto of Cranberry Township is serving as a residence assistant and assistant coordinator in Valparaiso University's Lankenau Hall.Venuto is a junior international business major. She is the daughter of Diane Nielsen of Cranberry Township and Joseph Venuto of Parkland, Fla.
