Prokopchak 50th anniversary
George and Connie Prokopchak celebrated 50 years of marriage with a dinner cruise hosted by their children on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., and with a trip to North Carolina. The Prokopchaks also celebrated with a special mass at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
Prokopchak married the former Connie Faulk on Oct. 24, 1959, at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church.
They have three children, Perrian Upton of Hughesville, Md., Lauren Casolo of Frederick, Md., and Kenn Prokopchak of Cranberry Township.
They also have one grandchild.
Mr. Prokopchak retired from Armco after 44 years of service. He is a member of the Butler Elks, Slovak Club, Esquire Club and American Legion 778.
Mrs. Prokopchak is a homemaker. She is a member of the Christian Mothers, a card club and a former member of the Symphony Board. She is a volunteer at church and for St. Vincent DePaul.
The Prokopchaks attend St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
