He was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving.6:32 p.m. Saturday — Elizabeth Phillips, 61, of Aspinwall was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving and roadways laned for traffic following a traffic stop on Route 8.3 p.m. Friday — Michael Derosa, 50, of Allison Park was arrested for driving under the influence, disorderly conduct and summary traffic violations after police responded to a disturbance call at Gaiser Addiction Center.1:25 p.m. Friday — A 16-year-old boy was charged with simple assault after allegedly assaulting another 16-year-old student at Butler High School.1:25 p.m. Friday — Donald Gibler, 18, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance after allegedly being found with Oxycodone pills at Butler High School.3:48 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Samantha Wiegand, 19, of Slippery Rock struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Roberta Stahlman, 49, also of Slippery Rock, that was stopped at a red light on North Main Street. The impact sent Stahlman's vehicle into the rear of a vehicle driven by Lorraine McDevitt, 81, of Butler. Stahlman received minor injuries.3:40 p.m. Thursday — A white PT Cruiser with a decal or graphic on the side struck a vehicle parked in the Family Bowl Away on Fairground Hill Road. 8 p.m. Monday — Brandon Tighe, 19, no address given, was charged with simple assault and harassment following an altercation with a 49-year-old Roseville, Calif. woman at a residence on Lower Lane in Brady Township.9 a.m. Monday — Someone stole a Stehl Tow Dolly belonging to Mitchell Hill Motors of Summitt Township between 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.11:40 a.m. Saturday — Daniel P. Simmons, 70, of Grove City was charged with DUI following a traffic stop along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.9:55 a.m. Wednesday — A 9 mm pistol was found along Badger Hill Road in Moraine State Park. The owner is asked to contact Trooper Rieger at 724-284-8100 to claim the firearm.7:35 a.m. Oct. 13 — Someone burglarized The County Line Tavern in Fenelton between 2:30 and 7:35 a.m. Oct. 13. 5:20 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Harry W. Engle, 42, of Ellwood City and a vehicle driven by Brooke Hoffman, 33, of Ellwood City collided at the intersection of Route 488 and River Road in Perry Township. Both drivers and a 1-year-old passenger in Hoffman's car were uninjured. Engle was cited for a traffic violation.
