The Boices in 1959

Robert and Janice Boice of Prospect celebrated 50 years of marriage with an open house at their home.

Boice married the former Janice Charles on Oct. 3, 1959, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown in Bakerstown, Pa.

They have three children, Matthew Boice of Washington, Pa., Wendy Holt of Chicora and Dwight Boice of Butler.

They also have four grandchildren.

Mr. Boice is retired from Armco Steel. He is a member of the Syria Chantors and the Olde Towne Harmony Barbershop Chorus. He is also a Prospect borough councilman.

Mrs. Boice is a homemaker, She is the leader of the Prospect Chime Choir and a member of the Harrisville Community Band.

The Boices attend New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church in New Castle.
