Christian Bruggeman of Butler was inducted into Lambda Sigma Honor Society at Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of his house council, a freshman dorm mentor, events chair of the Student Dormitory Council and a teaching assistant. He also plays quads and French horn in the Kiltie Band.A sophomore computer science major, he is a 2008 graduate of Butler High School.———

<B>Clay Campbell</B> graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash.Cadets in their junior and senior year of college must complete the leadership development course. Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, National Guard or Reserve.Campbell is a student at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt.A 2006 graduate of Moniteau High School, he is the son of Carolyn Campbell of West Sunbury.———<BR></BR><BR></BR>Freeport High School students<B> Carrie Durst</B>, <B>Colin Margo</B>, <B>David Moody</B> and <B>Kayla Newman</B> were named commended students in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program.Freeport High School Academic Principal Jeffrey Lesko presented the students with Letters of Commendation for their achievement. They are in the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT.
