Ridenour

Charles K. Ridenour, 79, of Evans City died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.

Born July 4, 1930, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Henry and Myrtle (Beighey) Ridenour.

Mr. Ridenour was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

He retired from Halstead Industries and also retired from Linda's Oversize Trucking Service, where he had been an oversize-load escort.

He enjoyed motorcycles and camping and was a huge Steelers fan.

In addition to caring for his own family, Mr. Ridenour was very committed to providing a home to numerous foster children.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Burr) Ridenour, who he married Jan. 12, 1952; a daughter, Linda Bailey and her husband, Gary, of Evans City; and three sons, Bob Ridenour and his wife, Patricia, of Harmony, Terry Ridenour and his wife, Marlene, of Ellwood City and Bill Ridenour and his wife, Donna, of Butler. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, William and Donald Ridenour.

<B>RIDENOUR</B> — Friends of Charles K. Ridenour, who died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral honors will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
